Vortex Radar visited the BlackVue booth at the SEMA Show last week and had a chat with BlackVue’s Jeremie Sinic, marketing manager at the company’s HQ in South Korea.
Both discussed the upcoming 4KDR970X Plus Series models (DR970X Plus, DR970X LTE Plus and DR970X Box) and what makes them stand out.
Some of the major changes include a new Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, a new much brighter lens (f/1.7 aperture) and HEVC/h.265 compression combined with a bump in bitrate to 60 megabits per second.
The rep also mentioned that the new cameras will extend the mobile Wi-Fi hotspot feature to other BlackVue dash cams as well, not just phones/tablets and other non-BlackVue devices.
Beside the hardware talk, the two also went over the recent changes in the BlackVueCloud Plans, including the price cuts and the introduction of the Lite Plan.
Check the video for all the details, as well as a first look at DR970X Plus footage.
