A video recorded by a BlackVue dashcam recently uploaded to YouTube has been going viral.

In the video, recorded by the rear camera of the BlackVue 4K UHDDR900S-2CH model mounted to face the inside of the car, you can see that the driverJon Hall was stopped by the police officer. Although we can’t see the officer, we can hear the entire conversation he has with the driver. Turns out that the officer confused the Tesla Model 3’s ;center control display with a computer mounted on the dashboard, which is illegal to do. A number of states prohibit their drivers from having computers/tablets mounted there out of fear of distracted driving.

Thankfully, the driver calmly explained that it was not, in fact, a computer, and he couldn’t simply take it off. The officer apologized for his mistake and let Jon go.
