Sometimes things happen so fast on the road that if not for the dashcam, we wouldn’t even know what had happened!
BlackVue user Manny (@mferniza) sent us the footage recorded by hisBlackVue DR900X-2CH dashcam in the city of Lancaster, CA. When Manny pulled pulled up to the light at Ave L & 10st W., he noticed a bike crossing the intersection at a high speed. He didn’t think much of it, but then he noticed that traffic had slowed down to the right and saw the rider on the ground, rolling around.
He assumed that he must have been hit – but once he reached his destination and checked the dashcam footage, he saw what actually happened and how fast it happened.
The video was posted on Facebook in the local community page. BlackVue user also gave a copy of the video to the sheriff’s department, which helped them piece this accident together. The rider, thankfully, was said to be alright even though it looked quite serious at the scene.
If not for the dashcam, the incident could have been missed, as it’s the case with all the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it situations. What if it was you? What if somebody did hit the rider? You don’t have to rely on eyewitnesses when you have a dashcam installed in your car.
